Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
A funeral service will be held 7:30 pm Tuesday.
Burial will be private.
Dolores E. (Banks) Rosa, 80 of Church Street Bloomington, died Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital.
Born January 3, 1931 in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Neal and Rhea (Barringer) Banks.
A Certified Nursing Assistant, Dolores worked in many of the area skilled nursing facilities including, Hutton Nursing Home, Orthmanns, Van Horns and Golden Hill Health Care Center. She was an avid bingo player, sang in the church choirs, was involved with the cub scouts and girl scouts, enjoyed oil painting and a member of the Kingston Indian Drum and Bugle Corp.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra Caprotti and her husband Francis of Bloomington; sons Kevin Rosa and his wife Liz of Saugerties and Michael Cooper and his wife Theresa of Ocala, Florida; siblings, Nancy Chapogas of Kingston, Donald Banks of Highland, Sara Wangstad of Minnesota and Mary Mitchell of Connelly. Nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her husband, John C. Rosa died November 26, 2008. A son, Amos Cooper, daughter, Brenda Kay Cooper, brothers and sisters, Emma Brandow, Clayton Banks, Irma Hamis, Beverly LaForge, George Banks, Robert Banks and Cornelius Banks also died previously.
