Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3pm to 7pm.

A funeral procession will form 10:00am Saturday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am at St. Mary's Church.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Andrew P. "Andy" Perpetua, 83, formerly of Madison Avenue passed away peacefully Tuesday September 5, 2023. Born August 7, 1940 in Kingston, he is the son of the late Michael and Effie (Williams) Perpetua.

Andy worked for eighteen years at Hudson Cement as a welder and served as shop steward. He then went on to work for IBM, working for twenty one years as as scheduler.

He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Active in various sports throughout his life, he has been a 40+ year member of the Kingston Bowling Association, participating in the Frontier League, City Minor and International Leagues. He was a Ranger at the Apple Greens Golf Course, and was involved in golf leagues at Rondout and Dinsmore Golf Courses. For softball, Andy played with Esposito Cleaners and the White Eagle Benevolent Society in the city league, and for IBM in the Town of Ulster league. He also played volleyball in the city league and was an avid hunter, as well.

Andy enjoyed trips to the Jersey Shore and Las Vegas. He loved spending time with his family, and is always remembered for often attending activities surrounding his grandchildren, ball games and recitals.

Surviving is his wife of forty five years, Jean Perpetua, children Cynthia Pomerantz and her husband Glenn, Cheryl Bowers and her husband Tim and Beth Anne Perpetua. Grandchildren, Victoria Deyo, Christopher and Angelea Bowers. Siblings Michael Perpetua, John Perpetua, and Mary Mulhern, brother and sister in law Wayne and Laurie Sickler. His nephew and Godson Ryan Sickler and Goddaughter Jennifer Rogaski as well as aunts, cousins, and other nieces and nephews. Andy was a resident of Tenbroeck Center Ashokan Unit for four years, members of the staff became members of his extended family.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by two brothers George and Levi Perpetua.
