Anita Ruth Fuoco, 87, of Kingston died Thursday January 12, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Mary's Avenue Campus. Born January 21, 1935 in Glasco, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rita (Lyons) Rinaldo. Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Fuoco.
Anita was a teacher's aide for Ulster County BOCES but her most fulfilling role was that of wife, mother and grandmother. Most people will remember Anita for her subtle acts of kindness and her unconditional love of her family. Sunday was always family day with Dick making one of his many delicious Italian meals (enough to feed the whole neighborhood), spending time with the grandchildren and sewing with Marie and Irma. She loved country music but she was the happiest when she was watching her three boys playing music. Her door was always open and so was her heart. Her kitchen table was a gathering spot for anyone who needed comfort, advice and a good meal. Anita and Dick treated everyone as if they were a family member.
Surviving are her sons, Michael Fuoco and his wife Maureen and Joseph Fuoco; her grandchildren, Ricky Fuoco (Christine Gumaer), Nicole Fuoco (Ted Himmel), Michael Fuoco and his wife Megan, Brittney, Nicholas, Seth and Brandon; great grandson B.J. Stade; sister Irma Stowell. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank Joe for all the sacrifices he made for providing the loving care Anita needed.
She was predeceased by her son Ricky Fuoco; her granddaughter Courtney Fuoco; siblings, Benny, John, LeRoy, Albert, Marie Dispensa and Ethel Paulucci.
