Annie Shaw

Visitation will be held Saturday August 31, 2024 at New Progressive Baptist Church from 11 am until 12 noon.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 12 noon.

Annie Shaw, 61, of Lakeland Florida died suddenly on August 21, 2024 while at Orlando Regional Hospital. Annie, born May 2, 1963 to Frances Shaw and Roland Whitted, Sr., grew up in Highland, New York. After residing in Albany, New York for many years, she relocated to Lakeland, Florida in 2011.

Annie attended and graduated from the Highland Central School District in 1981. She went on to study accounting at Dutchess County Community College. She was a home healthcare provider by occupation, with a big heart, always going the extra mile to help anybody.

Annie was a fun loving, family oriented, loved fishing and would donate her time and resources to the Veterans Administration. Annie was know for her authenticity; she said what she meant and meant what she said. Her favorite saying was "God's Got Me." Her favorite color was yellow.

Annie is survived by two daughters, Carla Odom (Jaren) and Tiffany Odom, and one son Alex Odom. Her three grandchildren Kariem, D'Jezire and Serenity, six brothers Charles Shaw, Jr., (Conchita) Roland Whitted, Jr., Milton Whitted, Stanley Whitted, Joshua Shaw, Iron Haughton (Cheryl). Six sisters Sharline Bevier, Fannie Mae Shaw, Victoria Shaw, Michelle Cash (Donald), Linda Hale (James), Hazel Jones (Walter), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Frances Shaw and Roland Whitted, Sr., her brothers Thomas Shaw and Donnie Ray.
