Antoinette "Annette" Ourakian

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM.

Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Antoinette "Annette" Ourakian, 100, of Baldwin Place formerly of the Bronx died Friday October 25, 2024 at Yorktown Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. Born February 9, 1924 in the Bronx she was the daughter of the late James and Maria (Imperiale) Castrone.

Annette was an Insurance Claims Adjuster for Empire Insurance Company for many years until retirement. She especially loved watching baseball. She enjoyed both New York Teams but was an avid Yankees fan and knew all the players names. As long as a game was on T.V. she was watching it. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and the occasional trip to the casino to play her favorite slot machines the "Blazing Sevens".

While living in the Bronx she attended mass every Sunday, When that was no longer possible she watched mass on T.V. and says her Rosary everyday! There was a big party and celebration for her 100th birthday with family and friends both local and out of state. A great time was had by everyone.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews of the, Nicoletti, Immediato and Castrone Families.

Annette was predeceased by her husband George Ourakian whom she married on September 2, 1950. She was the last surviving sibling of Anne, Rose, Louise, Vera, Eleanor, Amelia, Dolores, Anthony and George.
