Arthur E. "Rip" Appollonia Jr.

Arthur E. "Rip" Appollonia, Jr., 71, of East Kingston died unexpectedly Sunday February 9, 2025 at HealthAlliance Hospital:Mary's Avenue Campus. He was born December 7, 1953 in Catskill, a son of the late Arthur Appollonia Sr. and Katherine (Vandemark) Appollonia.

Rip worked for City of Kingston Parks and Recreation Department for forty nine years. He was a Captain of the former Excelsior Hose Co. 4 Fire Department in Kingston and was active in scouting with Kingston Troop 7.

He is survived by his wife of twenty four years Darlene (Cutler) Appollonia, his daughter Michelle Appollonia and her husband Peter, two grandsons Emerson and Owen, a sister Kathy Marks and husband John "Skip", nephews Shawn Marks and Brad Marks and his wife Samantha. Two great nephews Chase and Jackson.

Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to the American Legion Post 1748, Lake Katrine.
