Barbara M. Fairley

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday July 16th from 4-8 PM.

A funeral procession will form 9 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Barbara M. Fairley (95) of Kingston NY passed away peacefully at her home on July 9, 2025 with her children by her side.  She was the daughter of the late James J. and Helen (Ryan) McGuire.  Barbara was born on  June 8, 1930  in Johnstown NY.  She graduated from Johnstown High School and received her teaching degree from Oswego State College (SUNY Oswego).  Her husband of 49 years, Richard J. Fairley predeceased her in 2005.  Barbara was employed by the Kingston City School District until her retirement in 1995. She was a first grade teacher at E. R. Crosby Elementary School.  She was a member of  St.Mary's/St.Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Kingston, NY. Barbara taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's/St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Ulster Division of Kingston NY.   Barbara enjoyed playing Bridge and Mahjong with her friends.

Barbara is survived by her seven children Maureen (Michael) Posillico, Janet (Patrick) Maher, Patricia (Frank) Bouwer, Timothy (Sue Malone) Fairley, Barbara Ann (Ted) Davis, Kevin (Gerri Baker) Fairley, Megan (Clay) Corjulo.  Eighteen grandchildren & their spouses.  Brian J. Woltman, Jr. his wife Devon Zanin, Ryan (Mary Kate Grossbohlin), Hannah (Patrick Saddoris) & Kacey Corjulo, Taylor (Emily Aristizabal) & Michelle (CJ Marx), Alex & his wife Megan(Coleman) Davis, Kyra & her husband Zachary Demars, Cameron Fairley, Caroline Posillico, Andrew & Abigail (Logan Burkett) Bouwer, Kelsey, McKenna and Evan Fairley, Christy (Maher) & her husband Ed Gahr, Lisa (Maher) and her husband Alex Olsen & Shaun and his wife Alyssa(Long) Maher. and six great grand children.  She is also survived by her brother David (Veronica) McGuire and sister in laws Marge McGuire, Patricia Fairley, Rose Marie Fairley and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also predeceased by her sister, Janet McGuire and her brother Richard McGuire.

In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to Hudson Valley Hospice, Alzheimers Association or a charity of your choice in Barbara's name.  The family would like to thank Jennifer Patterson (HHA),Char, Annie, Collette, Maura, Aaron, Denise, Pastor Diane, Nora (Social Worker, )Sophie (Music Therapist),  and many others from Hospice that helped care for their Mother.  They would also like to thank Fr. Bill Scafidi for coming by and giving Barbara Communion and praying with her.
