Bernard "Butch" M. Carr

The Carr family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Sunday April 30, 2023 from 2 PM to 5 PM.

A funeral procession will form Monday 9 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Saint Joseph's Church.  Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Bernard M. "Butch" Carr, 79, of Kingston died Wednesday April 26, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Mary's Avenue Campus.  Born August 24, 1943, Butch was the son of the late Martin D. and Clara (Houlihan) Carr.

Butch served in the National Guard. Butch was very much into cars. In his early years was employed as a mechanic at Michael Chevrolet.  Also worked for years at Begnal. He was later employed as a school bus driver.  He was employed as a bus driver for Highland Central Schools for several years and after retirement went back to work for Ethan Allen Bus Company. Butch was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed working on old cars.  He had a 1942 Ford and a 1955 Ford and was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club.  He later obtained a 1998 Corvette and became a member of the First Capital Corvette Club. He enjoyed working with both clubs and for many years worked the Car Corrall at Rhinebeck.

Surviving is his wife of fifty one years, Marion (Letus) Carr;  his children, Michele DeBrosky, and Jeff Carr;  his grandchildren, Joshua and Dylan DeBrosky;  his sister, Clara Scheffel and many nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, brothers, Frederick Carr and Martin J. Carr and sisters, Patricia Camp and Theresa Wood all predeceased him.
