Memorial visitation will be held on Friday June 16th from 4-7pm.
A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday June 17th at 11:00am.
An inurnment will follow at Montrepose Cemetery.
Betty Jane Dart Clausi, 72 of Ashokan Road died Wednesday June 7th, 2023 at her residence after courageously battling lung cancer, surrounded by her family. Born January 31, 1951, in Kingston, she is the daughter of the late Harrison M. Dart, Jr. and Lorraine B. Diamond Dart.
Betty is survived by her husband Peter A. Clausi, her son Patrick A. Clausi and his wife Nicole. Granddaughter Gabrielle Clausi and Joshua Peterson. Granddaughter Isabella Clausi. Great grandchildren Carson and Raelynn Clausi-Peterson. Sister Nancy Dart-Mannello and her husband Dave. Brothers Greg and William Dart. Sister-in-laws. Sister-in-law Mary Rausch. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Betty started as a teaching assistant at Marbletown Elementary School and worked her way up to Kindergarten Teacher where she also served as Union Representative for Rondout Valley Federation of Teachers for many years. In her leisure time Betty enjoyed playing golf for a Women's League at Alapaha in the summer and in the winter played with the same group in a bowling league. Betty was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Wiltwyck Chapter, a member of the Marbletown Senior Citizens Club, and was faithfully involved in a Bible Study group. Betty also loved to travel with her travel companion Mary P. Betty took pride in her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty especially loved watching and spending time with her great grandchildren Carson and Raelynn.
In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Betty Clausi can be made to Shriners Hospital or to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice and the staff at Northern Dutchess Hospital for the excellent care they provided.
