Brian Shattuck, 66, of Clearwater Florida formerly of Port Ewen died Sunday October 13,2024. He was born September 22,1958 in Poughkeepsie a son of the late Richard Shattuck and Olive Maggio.
Brian's creativity and skills were unmatched. As a lifetime contractor he had an incredible talent for working with his hands. He enjoyed being outside riding quads through the trails, hunting and camping with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling the country with his family to watch his son ride BMX.
Brian was an active member of the community, dedicating his time to volunteering for the Parent's Association at Kingston Point BMX for over 10 years. He spent many nights with the Henderson Family grooming the track and grounds for riders, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. He coached his children and many others as a baseball and basketball coach for the P.E.A.A.
Above all, Brian was a mentor to his grandchildren. He was not just their Poppa, but their greatest cheerleader, he shared his love of nature, teaching them the value of hard work, creativity and adventure.
Brian's greatest joy was his family. Surviving is his wife of 42 years April Shattuck, two children Shannon Wenzel, and Christopher Shattuck and his wife Brittany. Grandchildren Christopher Shattuck Jr, Chloe Shattuck and Brenton Shattuck. Zeke Wenzel, Sophia Wenzel and their father James Wenzel Jr.
