Candace Eileen Smith, 65, of the Town of Ulster passed away on January 16, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Kingston on April 19, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Edward Miller and the late Carol (Glotzl) Inyard.

Candace was a registered nurse. She was extremely devoted to providing excellent care to her patients. Her caregiving extended to animals as well. Candace was an animal rights advocate. She dedicated much of her time and energy to PETA and the ASPCA. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her beloved dogs on her lap.
In her spare time, Candace loved the thrill of riding her Harley-Davidson and driving her muscle car. She was also an avid gardener and an award winning bench press competitor.

Candace is survived by her daughter; Kristi Bruchholz, Sister-in-law Linda Smith Lee and her husband Will W. Lee. Her grandchildren; Christian Bruchholz and his fiancé Becky, Ashley Bruchholz, Angela VanLeuvan, Robert VanLeuvan and his wife Kelly. Great granddaughter Chelsea Bruchholz. Nephews Marshall Lee and Garrett Lee.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Sherman Smith Jr. "Smitty", her son Carl Robert Smith, granddaughter Alyssa Bruchholz, brother Lance Miller, Mother-in-law Marjorie Smith and Father-in-law Robert Sherman Smith Sr., Brother-in-law David J. Smith.
