Cecelia "Cece" Zammillo

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday February 27th from 4-7 PM.

A funeral procession will form at 10 AM on Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cecelia (Cece) Zammillo, wife of Van, mother of Darlene Hart Barry (John), and Jodi Hart Longto (Mike). Those who knew her well, called her Cece. Her smile and spunk would liven anyone in her presence.

As a lifelong resident of Kingston, growing up in Ponckhocki, she loved to reminisce the stories of her childhood. After losing her mother at the tender age of seven, she helped to raise her little sister with all of her siblings. She had a deep attachment to her roots and loved to ride past her old house on Willow Street.  Cece was a great cook, nothing we ever ate as kids was out of a bag, box or can. She made Italian cookies from scratch every Christmas and delicious polpetta's with sauce every Sunday. Cece loved Elvis and was thrilled to tell you she saw him twice in concert in the 70s and she swears he sang C.C. Rider directly to her.

Cece was always proud to share that she worked for Burger King for over 25 years and was very proud of her long history with the company, making many friends during her long career. Cece's proudest accomplishments are her two daughters as she would always boast about them to anyone listening. She was married to her husband Van and they shared a love for over 40 years. She will be missed immensely, but we are comforted to know that she is at peace with the Lord rejoicing with loving family and friends gone before her.

In addition to her spouse and daughters are her surviving siblings- Dolores Aiello, Nick Turck, Paul Turck, Ginger Losey, she was predeceased by her brother Vincent Turck and sisters- Yolanda Lokey, Pat Hendershot and Diana DiNapoli, also by her former husband and friend Robert Hart.

Cece was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

Flowers are welcome, expressions of sympathy may also be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital &  the Ulster County SPCA .
