Charles Edward Pendell

Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday, January 29th, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

A procession will form at the funeral home on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at 10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Charles Edward Pendell , 82, of Kingston passed away at home with loving family on January 22, 2026. Born December 17, 1943, He was the son of the late Charles E., Sr. and Cora (Constable) Pendell.

Charles worked as a trash collector for the Kingston Department of Public Works. He was also a volunteer firefighter for JN Cordts Hose.

Charles is survived by his wife, Gail Pendell, his children: Melissa Stoutenburg (Bill) and Charles E. Pendell III, and grandchildren: Robert E. Stoutenburg and Paige Elizabeth Stoutenburg. A sister RoseMarie Bonse and his husband John as well as her brother Thomas Pendell and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Charles is predeceased by his siblings: William Pendell, Michael Pendell, and Margaret Roosa.

The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for their compassionate service and care of Charles.
