Christopher Smith

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday August 18th from 12-4 PM at Frank Guido's Little Italy-14 Thomas Street in Kingston.

Christopher Smith, 39, of Kingston died Wednesday July 24, 2024 at New York Presbyterian Hospital with his family by his side. Born November 12, 1984 in Kingston, he was the son of Jerry and Kathy (McDermott) Smith.

Christopher was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 2003. He was employed at Health Alliance Hospital where he worked for many years in the dietary department and later as a transporter. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and playing games of all kinds. He especially loved Dungeons and Dragons where he was a creative and patient Dungeon Master.  Chris's greatest joy in life was in bringing happiness to others through his love, laughter, and unique ability to buy the perfect present.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Jessica Jones and her husband Robert. His nephews Marx and Koy were the light of his life and he will be remembered by countless aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris is also survived by his closest friends, whom he loved dearly, Brittany, Justin, Brianna and Brian.

The family would like to thank the staff of New York Presbyterian Hospital for their extraordinary compassion and care over the last several months.
