Colleen Schoonmaker

Colleen Schoonmaker, passed away May 17, 2026. She was born July 1, 1939 in Kingston, a daughter of the late William J. And Mary (Hines) McGowan.

A graduate of the Kingston High School Class of 1958, she had a passion for baking and found great joy in sharing her treats with others. Above all, she loved and cared for her family deeply, who loved her just as deeply in return.

She is survived by her children Michael Schoonmaker and Lorri Perry (Paris) and her grandchildren Schuyler Schoonmaker, Jordan Hargrave and her wife Sam, John T. Schoonmaker, IV, Steven Schoonmaker, Jonah Perry, Grace Perry, great grandson Finley Hargrave and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband of 35 years John Thomas Schoonmaker, Jr. and her son John Thomas Schoonmaker, III.
