Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
A funeral home service will begin at 12:30. Burial will follow at Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
Conrad Llewelyn Hazell of Kingston, NY died Sunday, February 8, 2026, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Kingston, NY at the notable age of 90. Born November 5, 1935, in New York City he is the son of the late Lawrence Conrad and Agatha (Pero) Hazell. During his youth he attended a Seventh Day Adventist elementary school in New York City and graduated from high school at Pine Forge Academy in Pennsylvania.
Conrad worked as a professional CDL driver including employment with the New York State Department of Transportation as a truck driver. He was a gifted mechanic that truly enjoyed maintaining and improving the performance of his vehicles. He also enjoyed traveling the country in his RV. He was also a gifted musician teaching himself how to play by ear both the piano and organ. He eventually went on to take formal training to learn how to read music. He honed his skills by attending the Hampton University Music Workshop on a yearly basis. Over the years he played for various churches in Ellenville, Kingston and Hudson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved friend Janette Downes of Kingston, NY; his daughter Yolanda Hazell of Laurel, MD; his sister Verna D.H. Lomax of Mt. Marion, NY; two granddaughters, Tymika Hazell of Newport News, VA and Alicia Hazell of Hampton, VA; three great grandchildren, Malachi, Lanisa and Amara; nieces Sharemah Lomax and Briannah Lomax of Kingston, NY; nephew Clyfford Hazell (Roseanne) of Roselle, NJ and a host of additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Felecia Ann Hazell, his son Kyle J. Hazell, his grandson Kyle J. Hazell, II; his brothers Thomas Hazell and F. Clifford Hazell; and his niece Narritah Lomax.
Special thanks to all the nurses, doctors and everyone who took special care of Conrad at HealthAlliance Hospital.
