Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 4pm – 6pm at the funeral home.

A brief service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 11:00am.

Inurnment will take place in Montrepose Cemetery with a reception to celebrate Craig's life immediately following, at Frank Guido's Little Italy. All are welcome.

Craig Cane, 64 , of Kingston, NY passed away suddenly on April 18, 2026. Craig was born in Plattsburgh, NY to Len and Lenore Cane. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Albany. He went on to become Senior Vice President of Healthcare with WNC North America, Inc. He was highly sought after by elite headhunters. Craig was an avid sportsman, loving the NY Yankees, Montreal Canadians, and the NY Jets. He was a devoted dog lover, treasuring ten years of palling around with his boxer, Max, by his side. Craig had a huge and generous heart. He cared immensely for his friends and family, always putting them first, doing anything for them no matter how small or large. He especially had a knack for thoughtful gift giving, remembering the smallest mention of something that mattered to his loved ones.

In 1990, he welcomed his beloved daughter, Melanie Lynn, into the world. The two of them quickly became a loving and solid team, with giggles, softball games, endless hours of bike riding and pitching practice, and yearly visits to their favorite place, Disney World. His adoration and devotion to his daughter created a bond between them that will never be broken. He met the love of his life, Diane, in 2012. They were married on June 2, 2018, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their friends and family. Diane and Craig enjoyed traveling, eating at fine dining establishments, and attending comedy shows. They were planning a trip to Europe in 2027, before their journey ended so quickly. In December 2018, just when he thought his life was so full and couldn't get any better, his next great gift came into the world, his granddaughter, Raya. He immediately followed in the footsteps of his father Len, fulfilling the role of the enamored grandpa. He called her "The Beautiful One" and was completely and deeply in love. In January 2026, he enthusiastically planned an adventure to the Bahamas for Raya's seventh birthday, so they could swim with dolphins together. His girls will forever treasure their last family trip with him, living life to the fullest as he always did.

Steady as a rock, Craig truly embodied the meaning of a balanced life; working hard, committing to his routine workouts at the gym, putting his family above all else, and enjoying every moment life had to offer. Craig is predeceased by his parents Len and Lenore Cane. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, his beloved daughter, Melanie Lynn Cane, and his beautiful granddaughter, Raya Joe Guido.

Craig also leaves behind two stepsons, Troy Downes (Isadora), Tyler Downes (Katrina) and two step granddaughters, Sadie Grace Downes and Rebecca Riley Downes, who he cared for deeply.
