Cynthia (Alexander) Genther

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 12pm - 2pm at Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y. followed by a celebration of life at the Centerville Fire Company - Route 212, Saugerties, N.Y. at 3 pm.

Cynthia (Alexander) Genther , age 65 of Saugerties, NY, passed away on March 18,2026.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. A sister and aunt to many. Cynthia loved to sit and do scratch off tickets. When she wasn't playing with grandsons, she would sit and watch them play. Her grandsons were her heart. She was loved by her son David Alexander Jr., 25, her 2 grandsons Spencer J. Alexander-Bahner 5 and Sterling A. Alexander-Bahner 3 of Saugerties, N.Y.

Cynthia is survived by sisters Donna Van Kleeck of Shokan, N.Y. and Josie Churchwell of Olivebridge, N.Y. Cynthia was predeceased by her son Michael Genther at the age of 25, brothers, Dean, Frank, James, Thomas, Terry, and Billy. Also, her sisters Catherine and Evelyn.
