Darryl K. Deangelis

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m.

A memorial service and candlelight vigil will commence at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m.

Darryl Keith DeAngelis, 65, of Kingston passed away on September 4, 2023. Born February 12, 1958 in Kingston, NY, he was the son of the late James J. DeAngelis Sr. and Lorraine (Nickerson) DeAngelis.

Darryl graduated from the University of Denver with a BA in Biology and a minor in criminology. An entrepreneur at heart, he went on to start his own business in the health and wellness industry after graduation. His later career is defined by his love for craftsmanship in the construction industry. He retired at the age of 64 as an independent contractor and bought his dream home in the Florida panhandle.

Darryl was an avid traveler. He lived in many places throughout his lifetime including New York State, Colorado, and Florida. Through his sense of humor and charisma, he made many friends along the way. Among other hobbies, Darryl enjoyed hiking, camping, and the solace of nature.

Darryl held many titles throughout his life, but his favorite role was being a father and grandfather. His adult daughter, Erica, and grandson, Julien, were the light of his life. Their bond was built on a foundation of love and laughter. They will treasure memories of him forever.

Surviving are his daughter, Erica DeAngelis; grandson Julien Drake; nephew Jared Albright; and niece Lara DeAngelis. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Siblings Dell DeAngelis Sr, James DeAngelis Jr, and Lisa Pignone all died previously.
