David J. Golnek

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 5 to 8 PM.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Rosendale Plains Cemetery.

David J. Golnek , 75, of Quarryville died Friday July 26, 2024 at home.  Born January 2, 1949 in Kingston, he was a son of the late Charles and Lydia (Matheus) Golnek.

David served briefly in the United States Army before receiving his honorable discharge.  He was employed by the Kingston City School District as a custodian for 10 years. David loved to play darts and enjoyed watching westerns.

Surviving is his wife of thirty nine years, Thelma (Sickler) Golnek;  his daughters, Courtney Golnek and Kristin Sagazie; his siblings, Stephen Golnek, Dorothy Golnek and Joan Hall;  his grandchildren, Chaz Golnek, Lydianna McIntosh, Frederick Golnek, Gabriel Sagazie and Amelia Sagazie, his godson Michael Sickler who David thought of as a son. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, his siblings, Charles Golnek, Joseph Golnek, Mary Neit and Donald Golnek all died previously.
