Debra Bullock 61, of Bangor, Maine died Thursday March 14th 2024 at Eastern Maine Medical Center after a short battle with Cancer. Born March 23rd 1962 in Kingston, NY she was the daughter of Maxine Lewis and the late Haywood Peoples, Sr. and stepdaughter to the late Gary Lewis, Sr.
Debra was a natural born caregiver. When she was young she helped take care of her five brothers and sisters. Her brother Haywood said "One time she braided my hair so tight my eyes were slanted when she was done!" She cared for her beloved Nana when she was in need. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in this world. No matter what Debbie was going through in life her kids always came first. She always made anyone who walked through her door feel welcome in her home. She loved with her whole heart and would give anyone the food off of her plate, the shirt off of her back or shoes from her feet even if that was all that she had and had nothing left for herself.
Debra is survived by her sons Michael S. Howell (Nicole) and Duane T. Peoples (Bobbie Jean), and daughter Tamara Bullock all of Bangor, Maine. Siblings Haywood Peoples, Jr. of Kingston, Arlene Peoples of Kingston, Marlene Peoples of Saugerties, Myron Peoples, Sr. (Keisha) of Kingston, and Gary Lewis, Jr. (Marie) of Kingston. Grandchildren Kierra Peoples, Karisma Rayburn, Kavardas Robertson (Kaleigh), Isiah Bullock, Ava Robertson, Kendall Dow, Damian Buckley, Nevin Howell, Madeline Bullock, Seri Smalls, Elizabeth Ocean and Rhylee Howell. Great grandchildren Kolby and Klover Robertson. As well as many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her father Haywood Peoples Sr, her step-father Gary Lewis Sr, and her aunt Thelma Vandemark.
