DOLORES  M. BANKS

Of Poppletown Road, died unexpectedly at HealthAlliance Hospital Kingston, on Monday March 9,2026. Born in The Town of Ulster May 9, 1940, she is a daughter of the late Edward Charles Smith and Delta May Williams Zehnick.

Dolores was employed by the munitions manufacturer Dyno Nobel in Port Ewen, New York for thirty six years. She then worked at Kohls department store for twelve years until retirement. She loved to travel with her husband. Her favorite state was Maine. Dolores was not one to be idle, she would volunteer at The Veterans Food and clothing pantry on Route 9-W in Saugerties.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald J. Banks. Her children; Dolores Naccarato  and her husband Skip Elliott, Ronald J Banks Jr. and his wife Melanie and Cindy Goessinger and her husband Dave. Two step sisters; Sharon Filipowicz and Harriett Zehnick nine grandchildren, Fourteen greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was predeceased by her grandson Ryan Naccarato Her stepfather Harry "Rusty" Zehnick and siblings; Edward Smith, Rosie Rosenkrantz, Tom, Rusty and John "Jack" Zehinick, Beatrice Felt and Eileen Krauss.
