Donald Eugenia Moore, 79, of Ulster died at home on December 2, 2024. He was born on June 14, 1945, a son to the late Ivor and Eugenia (Echols) Moore. He was predeceased by his brother Jerry Ivor Moore.
Donald was married to Cynthia Townsend, on August 15, 1969, in Bowling Green Ohio.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, Donald is survived by his sons: Jamin, Ethan (Nicole), Laban (Tiffany), his grandchildren: Gianella, Letizia, Massimiliano, Jack, Ada, and Tilly.
Donald was a dedicated husband and father who loved unconditionally. He was a supportive and proud grandfather who found immense joy in his family.
In regard to career, he utilized his Master's degree in vocational rehabilitation developing a training program at Gateway Community Industries in Kingston, NY. He was an entrepreneur in real estate and construction making the dream of home ownership come true for many. He was a professional musician, songwriter, and recording artist. In music, he worked with countless esteemed artists including a world tour with singer and activist Harry Belafonte. Later, he was a band leader for seventeen years in the hotels of the borscht belt of the Catskill Mountains.
He heard the voice of God with a call to ministry and dedicated his life to the study of theology, hermeneutics, and service. He was ordained at the Living Word Chapel in 1994 following years of Bible study teaching. He became the head pastor of the congregation and served in this position for over twenty years.
Pastor Don worked to grow the family of God, fulfilling the great commission at home and abroad being a catalyst in planting churches and supporting humanitarian needs. He took on the mantle of an Apostle and intercessor continuing to work in gospel music and ministry up until his passing.
Pastor, Leader, Teacher, Builder, Musician, Counselor, Apostle, Spiritual Father Don closed his benedictions with the words, "Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. God is love, God is love, God is love!"
