In Loving Memory of Pastor Donald Edward Moore, Jr.

Pastor Donald Edward Moore Jr., of New Hampshire, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 1, 2025.

He was born on August 27, 1961 in Poughkeepsie, New York; the beloved son of Donald E. Moore, Sr. and the late Delores Moore. In 1980 he graduated from Kingston High School and went on to serve his country with honor as a MMFA, Machinist Mate Fireman Apprentice in the United States Navy and earned a Proportional Engineer Certificate from the 'A' School. Following his military service, he earned an Associates Degree in Robotic Technology and built a distinguished 38-year career at IBM as a Robotic Technician and later shifted his career path to Systems Programming.

Pastor Don deeply cherished his family. He married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Camilla Renee Palmer. They shared 45 years of unwavering love and devotion. Their union was blessed with their beloved daughter, Kristen, and three wonderful sons: Joshua Palmer, Isiah Cox, and Malcolm Cox. They also fostered their niece Glenda Milner and nephew Jason Milner.

Pastor Don's greatest passion was his faith. In the year 2000, Pastor Don responded to the call of God and became the pastor/leader of Ambassadors for Christ Church in Kingston, NY. In July of 2008, he was ordained a pastor by Apostle Debra E. Gause, at Holy Light Pentecostal Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. In 2015 he faithfully served alongside his devoted wife, and Co-Pastor Camilla at Living Word Kingston. Together they dedicated their lives to serving, teaching, mentoring, and uplifting their community with steadfast love and commitment.

Those who knew Pastor Don will remember him for his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, his humor,  love for cars, his attention to detail, his memorable sayings ("Keep it under a hundred," "Let's blow this pop-stand," "Skosh," and "Cool beans" just to name a few) and his ability to make meaningful connections with those around him.

Pastor Don leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Camilla Renee Moore (NH); his daughter, Kristen (Uwe Hurley) (NH); three sons Joshua (NY), Isiah (NY), and Malcolm (NY). His grandchildren Elijah, Lilianna, Jasanté, Auden, Isabella, Joshua, Joselyn, Roman, Arlo, Jamari and Rae'Lyn.  His father Donald Moore, Sr. (NY); Bonus Parent Ella Moore (NY); Brothers Jack (CA) and Mike Moore (NY); Sisters Jennifer Moore (NC), Melissa Moore (NY), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pastor Don's legacy of faith, love, and service will forever be remembered by his family and friends.
