A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 2:00 PM followed by a service at 3 PM.
Donald Nostrand , of Rymrock Road, died at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital, a division of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, on Tuesday April 7 2026. He was eighty-three.
Donald was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on January 21, 1943, a son of the late Amelia (Cianfrone) and Richard Nostrand, Sr.
He was the owner of D.E. Nostrand HVAC until his retirement. He was a truck driver for a variety of trucking companies, as driving was his passion, whether it was an 18-wheeler or his Corvette.
Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, playing dominoes with friends, and was always trying to beat his grandson at dominoes. Donald loved all his dogs, including GeeGee, his best little friend, and enjoyed walking them and taking them for rides everywhere and anywhere, including Tractor Supply and Home Depot.
Surviving is his wife of sixty two years; Madeline (Noe) Nostrand and their four daughters; Carole Henry and her husband Robert Jr., Kim Bennett and her husband Keith, Lisa VanOyan and her husband Vernon, Jr., and Jennifer Nostrand.
Donald is survived by sisters Julia Leverenz and Patricia (Frank) Canora, sisters in law Mary Ann, Marlene, and Sunok, brother in law Ken (Linda), grandchildren Joshua, Sara (Craig), Nicole (Bobby), Victoria (RJ), Joseph (Burgandy and children), Joshua, Jeremy, and Samantha, great grandchildren Baileigh, Rylan, Amelia, and Luca, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Richard Jr., Douglas, and Alfred and sisters Carol and Lynn.
