Donna M. Childs, 55, passed away Tuesday October 31, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus. She was born May 17, 1968 in Kingston, a daughter of RuthAnn Fassbender and the late Edward C. Smith. She is the stepdaughter of Albert J. Fassbender.

Donna worked as an administrative assistant for Mohonk Mountain House, a job she truly enjoyed. She enjoyed shopping, her collection of pocketbooks, perfume and shoes. She was a lover of God, sunflowers, animals and her cherished friends.

Surviving in addition to her mother and her stepfather is her husband of thirty seven years John Childs, her siblings Catherine Schulte, Timothy Smith and his wife Rosa, Josh Fassbender, Stephen Smith and his partner Laura. Many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, her "adopted" children Jasper Fassbender and Skyler Berry. She is also survived by her canine companion Teddy, her feline companion Sammy and her hedgehog Mateo.

Donna was predeceased by her son Matthew Scott Childs in 1989, her paternal grandparents Harry and Jennie Smith, maternal grandparents Raymond and Josephine Terwilliger, her brother in law Richard Schulte and her beloved canine Sadie.
