Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday August 31st from 3-7 PM.

A funeral procession will form Friday 9 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at St. Mary's Church. A livestream of the Mass may be viewed here

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Dorothy May Kilmer, formerly of West Pierpont Street Kingston died Monday August 28, 2023. Born December 18, 1929 in Kingston, she is the daughter of the late Theodore and Frieda (Recksiegel) Hofbauer.

Mrs. Kilmer worked as a seamstress at the local sweater manufacturer in Kingston. She was the wife of the late Raymond Kilmer, Sr., they married March 11, 1951 at St. Peter's Church in Kingston. She taught and served as director of the CCD Religious Education Program at St. Mary's Church for twenty five years.

Surviving are her children, Raymond Kilmer, Jr. of Topsham, Maine, Christine Verrilli and her husband George of Red Hook, David Kilmer and his wife Pamela of Valdosta, Georgia, Michael Kilmer and his wife Elizabeth of Saugerties. Eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers Theodore Hofbauer of Kingston, and William Hofbauer of Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her siblings, Marie Green, Emma Appolo, Elizabeth Decker, Edward, Frederick, Albert, Joseph Hofbauer, Albina Shuman, Theresa Caughey and Barbara Bell.
