Douglas Storm

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday January 12th from 4-7 PM.

A funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.

Douglas Storm, a former longtime resident of the Town of Ulster died December 19, 2023 at home. He was born June 12, 1952, a son of the late Frank and Myrtle (Schoonmaker) Storm.

Doug worked for many years as a dispatcher for Ulster County 911, formerly Fire Control. He then moved on to the operations division at Stewart International Airport. He also worked for the Hurley Gulf Station and managed an auto repair shop. Active in the community, he was a lead advisor Explorer Post 20, based out of the Hurley Fire Department. He was a life member of the Spring Lake Fire Department, holding many ranks from Lieutenant to Chief of Department over a 50+ year span.

Doug is survived by his local friends as well as his brothers and sisters in the emergency service community.
