Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday  August 9th from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM.

Dustin Monahan passed away suddenly on the night of July 29th 2023. Dustin was born at home in Kingston on the evening of December 14th 1982 to parents Denise Monahan (Renn) and Francis (Frank) Monahan the 3rd. Dustin was a very kind and loving man and was always willing to drop everything to help someone. Dustin fought a long battle with a very cancer in his 20/30's and won. Dustin had many interests, he loved reading and all kinds of movies. From 80's and horror to comedy and Disney, different movies held special places in his heart with different people. Dustin and his niece had a special bond over the Tigger movie and he and his fiancé had a special bond over the Princess Bride. Dustin loved woodworking, golf, cooking and drawing. Dustin's passion for drawing and art started at a very young age and continued to this day. Dustin graduated Hawthorne valley high school in 2001 and went on to achieve degrees from both SUNY Ulster, and The School of Visual Arts in NYC. Dustin had an incredible love for life and a quick witted sense of humor that will truly be missed. Dustin is proceeded by his father Francis Monahan the 3rd in 2019, his paternal grandparents Francis and Kathleen, and his maternal grandparents Fred and Winnifred Ren. He is survived by his loving mother Denise, the love of his life his fiancé Tara-Lynn McVicker, his older sister Megan Baker, Brother-in-law David Baker, his beloved nieces and nephew Mariah Santiago, Haley Baker, Jayden Baker, and many cousins and friends.

Dustin's family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs as this was such an unexpected and tragic event.
