Edna Jordan, 93 , a beloved resident of Lake Katrine, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Sunday June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a truly amazing life, Born July 16, 1931, in Tampa, Florida, she was a daughter of the late George and Camille Cuartero.
At the age of 6 she moved with her family to New York during the Great Depression. She recently accounted for her childhood being some of her most memorable and favorite times, she marveled at the way things were back then: simple, meaningful and connected. She graduated from Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan. While in New York Edna met the love of her life, Emile Pierre Jordan. The Couple settled in New York where they raised 7 children together. Edna was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother whose boundless love and energy touched everyone she met.
In her later years she cherished time with her family and enjoyed the companionship of her friends in the local community.
Edna is survived by her 7 children, Michael Jordan and his wife Sue of Rosendale, Daniel Jordan and his wife Michelle of Kingston, Ronald Jordan and his wife Tammy of Clermont, Emile Jordan Jr. and his wife Rita of Florida, David Jordan and Sherry, of South Carolina, Robert Jordan of South Carolina, Julia Jordan of Woodstock, her sister, Jean Gilsing of California. Twelve grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, husband Emile P. Edna's brothers, George, Richard and Gerald Cuartero all died previously.
