Edwin "Huckle" Stokes, Jr.

Edwin "Huckle" Stokes, Jr., 53, of West Hurley, NY passed away after a short illness on September 7th 2024 at Westchester Medical Center Valhalla Campus. Born in Germany he was the son to the late Deborah Beatty and Edwin "Huckle" Stokes, Sr.

Huckle had a passion for cooking and was always up to try his hand at a new recipe. He worked at several restaurants in the area. An avid animal lover he loved spending time with his cat Olive and dog Hunter. As a gardener Huckle was attentive and nurturing, just as he was in life. Huckle's loving, kind spirit and big heart touched all aspects of his life. Without hesitation he was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be truly missed!

Surviving are his Stepfather Robert Beatty, Jr., cousins Michael Demand, Paul R. Crawford, Jr., Michael Beatty, Jr., Robert Beatty, III and Harry Stokes.

Huckle is predeceased by his Aunt Myrtle Brauer and Stepmother Linda Kennedy-Stokes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
