A Nightingale prayer service will at 5:00pm.
An Immaculate Conception Rosary Society prayer service will be at 5:30pm
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Eileen Friday 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.
Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Eileen Reis
, 86, of Kingston died Saturday July 27, 2024 at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston. Born August 23, 1937 in Kingston she was a daughter of the late George P. and Pearl C. (Grabiec) Reis.
Eileen graduated from Kingston High School in 1955. She went on to the Benedictine Hospital's School of Nursing and graduated in the Class of 1958. As a registered nurse, Eileen worked per diem at the Benedictine Hospital for over forty years. She was instrumental in the formation of the I.V. Therapy Department, a member of the National Intravenous Nurses Association and the past President of the Ulster County Catholic Nurses Association. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church where she served in many roles that included the former Choir Director, President of the Rosary Society, Treasurer of the Ladies Church Guild, Parish Council past Vice President and Secretary, the first appointed women Trustee, and the Bingo Committee. She was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at both the church and the Benedictine Hospital, a CCD teacher and trained the altar servers. In 2024, Eileen was awarded the Rosarian of the Year by the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society.
Eileen is survived by her cousins, Philip M. Kelly, Philip F. Kelly, Richard Kachmor, Megan Bailey, William Kachmor, Rebecca Haug, Kathryn Kelly, Daniel Kelly, Madeline Kelly, Wyatt Kelly, Ryan Bailey, Shaun Bailey, Godson Keegan Howland as well as many dear friends. Eileen is predeceased by her cousin Kathleen Kachmor.
