Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday November 25th from 2-4 PM. A funeral service will take place at 4 PM.

Elizabeth Wood, 88 , of Kingston passed away Thursday November 13, 2025 at HealthAlliance Hospital:Mary's Avenue Campus. She was born December 17, 1936 in Kingston a daughter of the late Henry F. and Anna M. (Conner) Winters.

In her earlier years, Betty worked at Britt's Department Store, before beginning her career in healthcare. Betty worked for both Kingston and Benedictine Hospitals in the billing office. After healthcare, she worked as an assistant librarian for J. Watson Bailey Middle School.

Betty walked daily at Rider park with her little dog Emmet where they both enjoyed seeing "her" river, the boats, trains and planes. After each walk they would ride around Kingston and she would tell stories of the people and places and how they have changed. Before vascular dementia narrowed her world, she enjoyed going out dancing with friends at the Holiday Inn.  She spent much of her mature years travelling by camper, train and boat to "see America first".

Surviving are her children Marianne Wood-Jensen, Helen Nerone and her husband Joe, Henry Wood, and Paul Wood and his wife Emily, a grandson David Wood, "son" Ernest Stahl as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings  John "Jack" Winters, Rosalind Ahrens, Edward Winters and son in law Rasmus Jensen.
