Ellen Amell

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday January 25th from 12 PM to 2PM.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM.

Inurnment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston.

Ellen Amell, 69, of Mt. Marion died Thursday January 19, 2023 at HealthAlliance Hospital,Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston. Born February 20, 1953 in Kingston she is the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth Kuschner.

Ellen worked for many years at Ulster County Department of Social Services in Children's Services. She also worked for quite some time at the Egg's Nest in High Falls.

Surviving are her two sons Scott Amell and his wife Naomi, Brian Amell. Grandchildren Elizabeth, Mason, Dylan, Colby and Myles Amell. A sister, Jane Lowe as well as many nieces and nephews also survive.

Ellen is predeceased by her husband Ernest Amell, a son Eric Amell, and siblings Barbara Lowe, Beth Lane, Judith Kilmer.
