Ellen Kaplan

The Family will hold a private celebration of life.

On August 5, 2024, Ellen Kaplan, 80 of Saugerties, NY, passed away peacefully at her home
surrounded by her loving family. Born February 3, 1944, in the Bronx, NY, Ellen was the daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Wall) Kaplan.

Ellen worked as a Residential Coordinator with UARC until her retirement. She enjoyed card games with family and friends, playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her great grandchildren.

Ellen is survived by her children; Bridget Ricks Miller (Edward), Deborah Ricks, Charles M. Ricks, IV and Robert Brink, Jr. (Renae). Grandchildren Shannon (Lee), Joshua (Moriah), Hannah, Gabrielle (Peter), Reilley and Abigail, Great Grandchildren Charlie, Paige, Max, Noah, Joshua, Piper and Calvin. Ellen is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends to whom the family is very grateful.

Ellen was predeceased by her Uncle Clifford and Aunt Mary Haley, siblings Walter Kaplan, Veronica Fitzgerald, Michael Haley and niece Amber Haley.
