Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday March 27th from 5-7 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11 AM St. Colman's Church, East Kingston.
Burial will follow in High Falls Cemetery.
Elsie M. Boughton, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday March 24, 2024. She was born February 26, 1938 in New Paltz, a daughter of the late John and Flossie Tompkins Boughton.
Elsie was employed by numerous corporations during her life, always working to support her family. Her love for her family was limitless. She was always available for a visit and a cup of coffee. Elsie enjoyed tending to her gardens, flower and vegetable. She had a special bond and love for many feline pets throughout her life. She was a loving caregiver to many stray kittens and adult cats as well.
Elsie is survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families. Elsie was predeceased in death by her mother, father, and siblings: John Boughton, James Boughton, William Boughton, Frank Boughton, Clara Suto, Leona Smith and Martha Miller.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributions to Ulster County SPCA, Feline Unit- 20 Wiedy Road Kingston, NY 12401 or Hudson Valley Hospice- 153 Sawkill Road Kingston, NY 12401. The family would like to thank the following staff of Hospice for their help and care: Amy Walker, Lori Alarcon, Kathleen Lowing, Sara Lawson, Melanie Wall, Collette Anderson, Brandi Sullivan, Ashley Parrett.
