Emily Rae Welch

Hurley resident, Emily R. Welch, age 100, died peacefully at home on September 15, 2024 with her family by her side. Born in Highland September 30, 1923 she was the daugther of Ray and  Elizabeth Lounsbury, who predeceased her. Sister of William Lounsbury who predeceased her. Co-Founder of Welch Industrial with her husband Frank who predeceased her. She also worked as an executive secretary for Senator Walton and legal secretary for Plunket and Plunket.

Survivors include children; Linda and Jerry Dittbrenner who predeceased her of Kerhonkson, William and Wendy Welch of Hurley, Nancy and David Banask of Hurley, Diane and Ron Shiels of Hurley, Debbi and Bob Herdman of Hurley, Eugene Welch of Stone Ridge, Maribeth and Bill Gogg of Stone Ridge and Ronald Welch of Hurley. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren also survive.

A private service will be held at the family's discretion.
