Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph's Church.

Burial will follow at Hurley Cemetery.

Eugene Theodore (Wolven) Heitzman son of William J and Rosalie E Carlson (Wolven) Heitzman (deceased). Birthing father Cecil Wolven (deceased 1937).

Gene graduated St. Joseph's School & The Kingston High School class of 1953. He joined the St. Joseph's choir in the fifth grade,1945. While in high school he earned his first amateur radio license KN2DRV and a third-class radio telephone permit & worked for WKNY Radio Kingston. He also graduated from the first Electronics Technician class conducted by IBM Poughkeepsie as an employee. Was a member of the Ulster County Civil Defense in the 1950's and the formation of the Ulster County Mike and Key Club which later evolved to the Overlook Mt. Amateur Club now known as OMARC.

Drafted to the US Army 1958, Gene served in Germany for 2 years before returning home. He was honorably discharged in 1963 as an SP4. While in Germany he held the German Amateur License DL4GG and was a life member of ARRL.

After leaving IBM for college, he studied on to receive his 1st class Commercial Radio license as well as an advanced amateur radio license K2DRV. He worked as an engineer at WFMN-FM radio in Newburgh. He later acted in N.Y.C TV and commercials and the TV series "The Doctors" As an actor he appeared in productions in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties. His favorite performance was as Professor Henry Higgins in the musical "My Fair Lady". To my friends at Kingston Coach House- an applause of thanks. Gene took part and assisted several pilgrimages to Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Medjugorje, Bosnia and Israel. He was employed by Clemons Communications in Port Ewen, retiring in 2006.

He is survived by his sister Toni Kilroy, brother in-law Chris Kilroy, niece Jeannette Pullman, husband Brad, daughter Jessica, son Joshua Roloson and wife Sarah, daughters Sadie and Violet. Niece Renee Sacino, husband Michael, daughter Gianna. Nephew Matthew Roloson, wife Rachel, son Christopher, daughters Delaney and Rebekah. One uncle, Clement Heitzman and many cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Joseph's Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
