Frances Jessie Conner Kress

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5 at 1:00pm at the Flatbush Reformed Church of Saugerties | 1844 Route 32, Saugerties, NY 12477 with snacks/dessert after the service. Please let the family know if you plan to attend.

Frances Jessie Conner Kress , of Kingston, NY, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on 9/18/24. Born in Queens on 10/14/1929, she was the daughter of Sherwood Conner and Antoinette Candidus Conner.  She was a member of the Long Island Horsemen's Association and taught horseback and trail riding lessons to children in the Lloyd Harbor area. She loved to play the piano, sew, quilt, do needlework and play Bridge.

Fran will be remembered by her neighbors taking her daily constitutional walk along with her rescue Maltese Gigi and her tabby Catnip. Frances is survived by her four children:  Nancy Downey, Jennifer Kress and her husband John Peters all of Kingston, two sons, Robert Heartland and John Kress, both of Huntington Station, NY, two nieces Anne Rogers Fischer and Heather Setzler, two nephews David Rogers, and William Setzler; six grandchildren: Jason (Catherine) Gregory and Andrew (Lauren) Bonadio, Laura and Julia Bolukbasi, Joline Kress and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Robert Kress and her sister Jane Rogers.
