Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday August 8th from 11 AM until 1 PM. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM. 

Inurnment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Francis T. Murray, Jr., 80, of Kingston, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born November 14, 1945, in Kingston, the son of the late Francis T. Murray, Sr. and Marion (Kelly) Murray.

Frank served our country in the United States Army Reserves. Locally, he was an attorney in private practice with Gaffney & Gaffney in Kingston. He was appointed Ulster County Attorney, where he faithfully served the residents of Ulster County for more than twenty years before retiring to Florida.

He remained an avid golfer, held a pilot's license, traveled often, and was a passionate historian. Above all, he cherished people. Whether through his profession, his travels, or his many friendships, Frank had a remarkable ability to connect with others and build lasting relationships. His warmth, wit, curiosity, and genuine appreciation for others left an impression wherever he went.

He is survived by his wife, Marie-France "Francette" Murray, his children John Murray and Mary Jo "MJ" Darling, granddaughter Eleanor Francis; and nieces, Jennifer Turner and Nancy Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wives, Patricia Murray, Catherine Murray, sister Natalie Turner, and his nephew Peter Turner.
