A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 5 PM to 7 PM.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Denis Church, Hopewell Junction, Tuesday at 11 AM.
Inurnment will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction.
Frances B. Sikula, 89, of Kingston NY, died at Hudson Valley Hospice House, Hyde Park, on Wednesday August 19, 2026. Born in Manhattan on June 26, 1937, a daughter of the late Frank and Katerina (Viskop) Kemlage.
On November 16, 1957 she married John Sikula at St. John Nepomucene’s Church in New York, NY. They raised their four children in Astoria, but loved their summer home in Elizaville, NY, which would eventually become a full time residence for the family.
A graduate of Julia Richmond High School, Frances was employed as a legal administrative assistant at Parker, Chapin, Flattau, and Klimpl, located in The Chrysler Building in Manhattan. She was previously employed as a Telephone Operator for New York Telephone Company.
Some of her favorite past times were playing Bingo and going to the Casino. Fran also loved playing cards, dominoes and Scrabble, especially with her grandkids.
Surviving are a son Thomas J. Sikula and his wife Tracey of Elizaville, NY. Son in laws Randy Pape and Christopher Seibel of Kingston, NY, daughter in law Jennifer Sikula of Albany, NY. Grandchildren; Josh (Victoria) Steward, James Seibel, Nicole Seibel, Jeremy (Juliana) Sikula, Jasmine Coon, and Brooke Sikula. Siblings; Sister Mary Ann Herzog, Brothers Bernard Kemlage and Joseph (Carol) Kemlage, and sister in law Darlene Kemlage, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband John Sikula died in 1989. Fran was also predeceased by a son, Kenneth Sikula, daughters Sue Anne Pape and Katrine Seibel, siblings Michael (Shirley) Kemlage, Bernadine (Daniel) Cambalik, Catherine (Kenneth) Corbin, and Frank Kemlage, Brother in laws Robert Herzog and Stephen (Madelon) Sikula, as well as granddaughter Danielle Sikula.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Father Louis Yaya, as well as the staff of Hudson Valley Hospice Home Care and the Hospice House for their incredible kindness and wonderful care during the past few weeks.
