Frank Becker, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Church at the convenience of the family.

Frank Becker, Jr. of Ruby passed at home after a short illness on Monday May 6, 2024. He was born in Woodstock on March 21,1935 a son of the late Frank Becker, Sr. and Thelma (Wilber) Becker Ward. Frank married Agnes Young at St. Wendelin's Church in Ruby in April of 1957.

A graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio with a degree in Business Administration, he worked from 1959 until 1987 at IBM Kingston in management. After retirement, Frank volunteered at multiple soup kitchens in the Kingston area, and continued to do so for over thirty three years. During the summer time, he was a foster parent for the Fresh Air Fund and the St. Cabrini Home.  He was a parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church in Lake Katrine, serving on the parish council and as an usher. Still very active until recent, Frank took great pride in maintaining his property and tending to gardens with his wife Agnes. He loved the company of family and friends, enjoyed a round of golf and was especially proud of July 25, 2005 when he shot a hole-in-one. He was a fan of the New York Giants, Mets and Rangers and was always happy to help others and had an amazing sense of humor.

Surviving is his wife of sixty seven years Agnes Becker, three children Rosemarie Roughton and her husband Richard, Carl Becker and his wife Gretchen, and Lori Becker and her husband Bob Stephens. Five grandchildren Richie Roughton, Gavin Dodd Becker, Garrett Becker, Gianna Becker and Grayson Becker also survive. He loved his many pets over the years especially Harry, Buffy, Bugsy and Fluffer.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for masses to be said in Frank's name at St. Catherine Laboure Church or other spiritual enrollments.
