Frank H. Mergendahl

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

A funeral procession will form at 11:00 AM and proceed to Lloyd Cemetery for graveside service.

Frank H. Mergendahl, 81, of the Town of Ulster died Monday July 13, 2026 at HealthAlliance Hospital Mary's Avenue Campus. Born December 5, 1944 in Kingston, New York he was the son of the late William and Margarette Mergendahl.

Frank served in the United States Army. He was still employed as a custodian at SUNY New Paltz University.

Frank is survived by his children Bonnie Hahn (James), Evelyn Cleveland (Sydney) and Nyla Temple (Stanley). His brother Robert Mergendahl Sr., sisters Marilyn Marshall, Evelyn Collazo and half brother William Mergendahl III. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Pearl Mergendahl, daughters, Carol Smith, Julianna Peters, Shirley Swanson, brother Ralph Mergendahl and sister Aleta (Mergendahl) Ellsworth.
