Funeral services will be held at St. Michael's Parish in Greenwich, CT at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to join us for lunch at Il Leone in Greenwich, CT from 1:00-4:00 PM.

Frank Joseph Prial, III, passed away peacefully at home in Woodstock, NY on Saturday, September 2, 2023, after a four-year battle with lung cancer. Born on February 7, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph Prial, II and Marguerite Robinson Prial.

Frank initially worked at Ski Magazine and later served as Editor of The Chief, a former family-owned civil service newspaper in New York City.

Frank was an avid reader and a lifelong lover of sports. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, and playing with his grandchildren. Football season was his favorite time of year; he was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.

Frank is survived by his four children (Courtney Gillies of San Francisco, CA, Christopher Prial of New York, NY, Katherine Leahy of Trumbull, CT, and Lauren Prial of New Canaan, CT); nine siblings; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Hudson Valley Hospice or The Stamford Hospital Foundation.
