Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

A funeral procession forms at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:00am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Mary's St Peter at 10:00am.

Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery.

FRANZI  M.  TUEY   77

Of Main Street, Kingston, NY died at her home on Wednesday December 4, 2024.  Born October 4, 1947, a daughter of the late Thure Werner Olsson and Maria Reichel of Kingston, NY.  Franzi attended school at Saint Ursula Academy.

Franzi was retired from The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce where she served as Office Manager.  Prior to the chamber, Franzi worked in the banking field at Barclays Bank and then The Bank of New York.

A long time parishioner of The Parish of St. Mary's church, Franzi taught CCD classes, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.  She enjoyed puzzles and word searches, cross words, and reading.  She was a huge fan of Judge Judy.  Franzi devoted much of her time to her grandchildren, who she loved more than anything.

Surviving are one son,  Terrence J. Tuey and his partner Sarah Ouellette, Granddaughters Cadence J. Tuey and Payton M. Tuey.  One brother, Karl Olsson and his partner Kathy Jamison.  A cousin Joan Van Leuven also survive.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John R. Tuey, who passed June 11, 2000.
