Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 PM.

A funeral service will be held Friday 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Frederick (Fred) Longto. Fred was born and grew up in Lodi, NJ. As a young family, they then moved to Kingston after the passing of his father, Willett. Fred graduated from Kingston High School in 1958. Fred met the love of his life Elaine Low and they married on March 18, 1961 and would have been married for 65 years this year.

Fred worked for Spiesman's Bakery, drove a truck for Hill and Trandell, later worked for Hudson Cement Plant, and finally retired from Kingston Housing Authority. Fred and Elaine built their family on a foundation of hard work, home cooked meals and love.

Father of Michael (Jodi) and Chartrese (Duane) and grandfather of grandsons Zeke and Damon Wolff. Siblings Willett, Doug (Donna), Gary (Lisa), Sharon. Sister-in-law and friends Shirley and her husband Ron Peterson Sr. and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife Elaine, parents, Theresa and Gabriel "Zippy" Guido and his brother Wayne.

Fred will be remembered for his selfless giving nature, loud hearty laugh and his enormous smile.
