Gary W. Sherow

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 11th 1:30 at the LaGrange Rural Cemetery.

Gary W. Sherow, 61, formerly of Poughkeepsie passed away Saturday April 27, 2024 at HealthAlliance Hospital:Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston. Gary was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on June 27, 1962, a son of the late Lois (Garrison)  and Royal W. Sherow.

Gary received his BA from SUNY New Paltz and went on to receive his Juris Doctorate Degree from
Delaware Law School. He worked in the Poughkeepsie area as a bankruptcy attorney. My father was the most amazing man I've ever known. He was a brilliant lawyer, talented drummer, nature enthusiast and animal lover. He also had an incredibly quick wit and sense of humor. He made so many people laugh and smile. He was kind, compassionate and taught me everything I know. He had so much more to teach me and I can only hope him and my mother will continue to guide me from heaven.

Surviving is his daughter Emily Sherow, a sister Nancy Bailey and her husband Joseph, and a brother Jeffrey Sherow.

In addition to his parents, his wife Marianne Sherow predeceased him.
