Gary C. White

A memorial service will be held at New Central Baptist Church Friday January 10 at 11:00am. Pastor Gayle Johnson will officiate.

The Family requests all who attend to dress in bright colors to honor this colorful gentle man.

Gary C. White,  77

of Yosman Towers, Kingston, New York died Saturday December 28 2024 at Westchester Medical Center.

Gary was born in New York City on May 9 1947, son of the late Cornelius Nelson and Marquerite White.

Gary was employed by Coleman Brothers Shows as a rigger and ride operator, and previously worked for Gateway Industries. In his later years he was also an avid bottle and can recycler.

A music lover, Gary acquired a formidable catalog of titles and artists. He had a sweet tooth and his apartment resembled a small candy store.  Known to be a well dressed man, Gary also had a great sense of humor. He was open and kind and when met by others in the city, his kindness left a lasting impression.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Latoya Nesbitt White, his son Scott Nesbitt, sisters Shirlee Blake and Michelle White, and his companion Monique Gray. Also his beloved aunts Virginia Maxey and Phyllis Hinkson, and dozens of cousins too numerous to name, remain to grieve his loss.  He was predeceased by brothers Robert White and Harold White and a sister, Patricia White.
