Genevieve Valk

Burial was held privately in Palenville Cemetery. 

Genevieve Valk, 99, passed away Monday August 24, 2026 at the Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lake Katrine. She was born June 26, 1927 in Abilene, Kansas a daughter of the late Ezra and Ethel Clark.

Mrs. Valk worked for many years in the Kingston City School District in the cafeterias of J. Watson Bailey, Miller and Kingston High School.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Glaser and her husband Tom of Kingston, a granddaughter Kimberly Tatarsky and her husband Gil.

She was predeceased by her husband George Valk, siblings Anna Barlow, Avis Viola, Marie Crawford, Geneva Giese, Frances Kohrs, Ezra Clark, Arthur Clark and Ethel Steele.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in the Esopus Unit for their care of Genevieve.
