Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm.

Services will be held Thursday 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.

George J. "Chicken Man" Westfall, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 10, 2025, in Kingston, New York, the same city where he was born on May 10, 1945.  His passing marks the close of a life deeply rooted in his hometown and cherished by those who knew him.

George dedicated much of his life to serving the City of Kingston as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a role he held for thirty seven years until his retirement in 2000. His work ethic and commitment left a lasting impression on colleagues and community alike. He was affectionately known as "Chicken Man", a nickname that brought smiles to many and reflected the warmth and humor he carried throughout his life.  George had a passion for NASCAR racing and was an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Whether cheering from his living room or discussing stats with friends, sports were a constant source of joy for him. One of George's favorite places was his property on Brook Street, where he found peace in relaxing outdoors and spending time with loved ones. He especially enjoyed visits from friends and family, always welcoming them with open arms and good conversation.

George is survived by his son George Westfall, daughter Anita Williams and her husband George. Grandchildren; Nicole Strachan and her husband Rodney, George Williams lll (Vanessa Rosa),Patrick Westfall (Winter Wannamaker), Kara Westfall and her fiancé Mickey Johns. Each of them carries forward memories shaped by his presence, humor, and enduring love. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy Westfall (Brink), his parents George and Myrtle Westfall and his sister  Myrtle "Sissy" Westfall.

George J. "Chicken Man" Westfall will be missed by all who knew him. His memory lives on in the hearts of family, friends, and all the lives he touched throughout the years.
